Dear members, partners, friends and visitors,
It is with deep conviction and renewed commitment that I address you on behalf of the Yélian Association, an organization born from a collective will for mutual aid, solidarity and community action in support of vulnerable populations, people exposed to exclusion and communities seeking sustainable solutions.
Since its creation, the Yélian Association has placed people at the heart of its action. Our commitment is based on strong values: human dignity, active solidarity, social inclusion, non-discrimination, responsibility and sustainable development. Through our programs and projects, we work to provide concrete responses to the social, health, economic, educational and community challenges faced by the populations we support, including vulnerable people, young people, women, LGBTQIA+ people and communities exposed to exclusion and discrimination.
Our ambition is to build a credible, well-structured organization that remains close to communities, capable of mobilizing energies, strengthening local solidarity and promoting initiatives with real impact. Yélian aims to be a space for listening, action and hope, where every person can find support, consideration and guidance.
Our long-term vision: Yélian Africa
In the long term, we intend to develop the Yélian Association into a leading pan-African organization known as Yélian Africa. This vision aims to gradually extend our action beyond Benin by establishing national chapters in different African countries, in order to bring our initiatives closer to local realities and strengthen cooperation between communities.
Yélian Africa will embody the ambition of a continental network based on solidarity, experience-sharing, social innovation, the defense of human dignity and the promotion of inclusive and sustainable development. Each national chapter will be called upon to act within its own context while sharing a common vision: to build a more supportive, fairer, more inclusive Africa looking toward the future.
A call for collective commitment
This ambition cannot be achieved without the commitment of members, volunteers, technical and financial partners, institutions, communities and all those who believe in the power of solidarity. Together, we can make Yélian a true bridge of mutual aid, opportunity and hope for present and future generations.
